Professor Giorgi Pkhakadze, MD, MPH, PhD, is a public health specialist, healthcare quality expert, and medical educator with more than 25 years of international experience.
He serves as Chair of the Public Health Institute of Georgia (PHIG), Editor-in-Chief of the Georgian Medical Journal (GMJ), Professor at David Tvildiani Medical University, and Director of GMJ.ge Academy.
His areas of expertise include public health, healthcare quality and safety, accreditation, patient safety, health systems strengthening, health workforce development, migration and health, medical education, and continuing professional development.
Professor Pkhakadze has worked with international organizations, academic institutions, governments, and healthcare providers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, supporting healthcare quality improvement, accreditation, and workforce capacity building initiatives.
